Enable is a short, graphic novel exploring the everyday lives of people with disabilities and long-term health conditions. It follows the lives of 3 young people and how they learn to cope with their disabilities. An autobiographical chapter is included to give an author's insight into the honest living experience of a chronic illness.

and avaliable on Print-On-Demand through Mixam! I'd like to thank all those who helped during the process of this comic, giving thoughtful insight into their own conditions and helping create a conversation that sometimes feels forgotten. I know as my first fully developed comic, it is by no means perfect and I know where I can improve, both as an artist but also as a storyteller. It's difficult to manage the expectations of producing work when you have a chronic illness that will, at any point, stop you from reaching your potential. I made this whilst recovering from a bad episode and I am finally sharing this story a year later whilst recovering again. I know I will make stories in the future, but this project taught me I can take my time to heal first. Shoutout to those who also pre-read my comic! Beck Talbot, Sylvie Taniguchi, Chelsea, Camille, Thulani Makena, Adairtrashart, and the many who also took part in my research. |
